Nirimba is one of the newest estates within the broader Caloundra South growth corridor, built out alongside Baringa and sharing the Aura Town Centre catchment as it develops. With the suburb itself still filling in around new streets and parks, residents currently look to the established Bulcock Street clinic for anything hearing-related — a direct, uncomplicated drive north rather than a wait for local services to arrive.
A hearing test takes about 45–60 minutes: a discussion about what you've noticed, painless diagnostic checks in a controlled setting, and plain-language results the same day. No referral or obligation required. Full process details: Comprehensive Adult Hearing Assessment.
Our Caloundra clinic provides diagnostic hearing assessments, tinnitus discussions, hearing aid fittings and ongoing device support for Nirimba residents.
As one of the newer estates in the Caloundra South growth corridor, Nirimba doesn't yet have its own hearing clinic, so residents make the short drive north to our Bulcock Street rooms.
Learn MoreWe talk Nirimba residents through hearing aid options at the established Caloundra clinic, the same short trip as neighbouring Baringa and Aura.
Learn MoreIf you've noticed ringing or buzzing since moving into the Nirimba area, it's worth raising during your hearing assessment so we can talk through it together.

The drive from Nirimba to Bulcock Street is around 10–12 minutes via Bells Creek Arterial Road — very similar to the trip from neighbouring Baringa or Aura, since all three estates feed onto the same arterial route north into the town centre. Parking is available close to the clinic once you arrive, with no need to navigate side streets.
As one of the newest additions to the Caloundra South corridor, Nirimba doesn't yet have the established amenities of older suburbs nearby, and that's genuinely still taking shape as the estate grows. What residents do have is straightforward access to the same established hearing care that's served the wider Caloundra area for years. Whether you've just moved in and want a baseline check before you settle into a new routine, or you're noticing changes after years of putting it off, the process is exactly the same as for any other Caloundra South resident.
We're a contracted Hearing Services Program (HSP) provider, meaning eligible Nirimba residents — Pensioner Concession Card holders and DVA Gold or White Card holders — can access subsidised hearing assessments with us. A Commonwealth Seniors Health Card doesn't qualify on its own, so bring your card along and we'll confirm eligibility electronically at your appointment. Full details: Hearing Services Program guide.
Your hearing test is carried out by Linda Whittaker, a Qualified Audiometrist with over 20 years of experience and ACAud accreditation. Linda takes an unhurried, independent approach — explaining what your results mean and what your options are, without pressure.
